  Pheasant Hunting Lodge South Dakota

Ringnecks Hunting & Lodging has prime all-wild pheasant hunting, spread over 15,000 acres in the heart of South Dakota's best pheasant country!

2012 South Dakota pheasant season is expected to open on Saturday, October 20th (we will update this information when the date is made official).

Pheasant counts are down significantly in some areas of South Dakota in 2011. Before booking a hunt, be sure to check out the bird numbers - South Dakota Pheasant Populations and Hunting Pressures.

  • Ringnecks Hunting & Lodging is in the center of Lyman County, which has the #1 pheasant population in the WORLD, averaging 22.56 pheasants per square mile. This is double what numbers two and three can claim, at 11 pheasants per square mile.
  • The Stanleys have over 100 years of experience developing the plains and pheasants of South Dakota, and our vast acreage allows all of our hunters to experience a different type of field and terrain every day, to include hunting milo, corn, cane, fields, strips, trees, along creeks, dams, ponds, and draws. We can accommodate any hunter!
  • Our up to date lodging is spacious, entertaining, and comfortable, and can accommodate large groups of hunters or smaller groups of hunters. Our home cooked meals are delicious and satisfying!
